Women vote Jaguar drivers as the sexiest

It seems that Jaguar’s recent #GoodToBeBad ad campaign hasn’t only got the guys engine’s revving – it also has the ladies in a spin as Jaguar drivers win the race in the sexy stakes.

A new survey by female members of the UK’s leading extramarital dating website,IllicitEncounters.com, has placed Jaguar drivers in poll position as the sexiest drivers. The study of over 2,300 female members from the website overwhelmingly placed Jaguar owners on the top of the podium.

The TV advert also features recently crowned ELLE man of the year, Jaguar driver himself and man of the moment actor, Tom Hiddleston. He plays part of a trio of jag driving British villains – and this sexy campaign has defiantly captured the hearts of the public.

Quintessentially British, smooth, suave and sophisticated, it’s no surprise that Jaguar are still at the forefront of popularity; a jewel in the crown of British engineering, each of their models boasts the most beautiful designer curves with world class mechanics to match.

Audi and Mercedes drivers also faired well in the study; while Jaguar topped the poll with 37%, Audi came a distant second with 22%, and Mercedes drivers received 17% of the vote. The most surprising factor was BMW drivers not featuring higher on the list of sexy drivers, with one female member describing them as “Arrogant and not sexy”.

Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com, Mike Taylor said: “To men cars are a synonymous with sex appeal, it’s not about just getting from A to B in comfort, style and appearance are also important. Men’s cars are often a reflection of their personalities mirroring if they are reliable, stylish, economical or extravagant, and women use this information to make snap judgements about their potential partner. Jaguar seems to have it all in the eyes of the ladies, so it’s no surprise they find their drivers highly desirable”.

It was also bad news for Nissan owners as they topped the list in a separate poll of the least sexy cars with a whopping 44%, followed by the safe and reliable Volvo at 18% , and Renault with 17%. It doesn’t seem to matter if the car is reliable or gets good miles to the gallon, women want men who drive cars that show how attractive they are.

Audi drivers overtake BMW as the most adulterous car owners

It appears that BMW owners have lost the title of most adulterous drivers to Audi owners, the UK’s leading married dating site IllicitEncounters.com can reveal. In a follow up to last years poll, BMW drivers have slipped into second place. Meaning BMW owners have either switched to a new car manufacturer or have bucked up their ideas and been more faithful in the past 12 months.

BMW remains as the worlds largest maker of luxury vehicles despite Audi receiving $25 billion worth of investment since 2002 and doubling the number of model lines they make since 2003 from 6 to 12 but Audi have plans to take the lead from BMW by 2020 and if our stats are anything to go by they look on course to do so.

Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com Mike Taylor said: “Cars can reveal a lot about their owners, all the cars in the top 5 represent our members, they are typically successful, motivated, high-achievers who are less likely to settle for something they find unsatisfying, be it a car or a relationship. Car manufacturers know this and Mercedes even famously used infidelity to advertise their cars with the banned ‘Not In This Weather’ advert.”

It seems German manufacturers are the most favoured by Illicit Encounters members with Mercedes Benz coming in third in the study of the dating sites 800,000 members whilst the exception Volvo (Swedish) came forth and Volkswagen finished the top 5.

Interestingly both the car brands with the fewest number of adulterers where French, so whilst the French may embrace adultery it seems the drivers of their cars do not. So if your husband or wife drives a Peugeot or a Renault you can be pretty confident that they are less likely to stray.

The other interesting statistic was, 72% of Illicit Encounters members where likely to change cars within three years to refresh to a newer brand or model, and only 7% of members primary car was older than 5 years.
