·  53% of women admit cheating because their partner would rather watch football than have sex.

·  12% of men would forgo sex for a year for World Cup final tickets.

·  Revealed: the Sexiest footballers and WAGs.

·  78% of faithful women would be tempted to stray during the World Cup.

·  The most unfaithful World Cup team fans.

·  Scotland: not qualifying means more action in the bedroom.

IllicitEncounters.com, which provides a platform for married people to conduct affairs, has released the results of its ground-breaking World Cup Survey uncovering the hidden effects of the World Cup on your relationship.

The results should provide a wake up call for all football fans as the World Cup gets underway; thousands of so called ‘football widows’ are flocking to join-up and look for a extramarital relationship as the world cup frenzy is leaving them feeling neglected by their partners.

The website, which has over 900,000 members in the UK has reported an average of a 67% rise in female activity since World Cup fever swept the nation; the surge of new female member sign-ups further spiked during England’s 2-1 loss to Italy on Saturday.

The World Cup survey revealed a startling amount of the new female members classed themselves as ‘football widows’, and the top reason they were now looking for an affair, was down to feeling neglected and deprived in the bedroom.

Question: Why are you looking for an affair during the World Cup?

Reason given:
1. Partner would rather watch football than have sex. 53%
2. Partner becomes unreasonable whilst watching football. 26%
3. Football provides a good opportunity for me to cheat. 12%
4. Partner cares more about watching the game than spending time with me. 7%
5. Other. 2%

Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com Mike Taylor commented: “Whilst the World Cup cannot be blamed for the breakdown of a relationship, there is no doubt that like Christmas and family holidays, it can highlight existing problems and bring underlying tensions to a head. Scotland has proved that by not qualifying, relationships are happier and men are reporting having more sex while women feel their men are being more attentive. Meanwhile in England, almost the exact opposite can be said whilst their team are away in Rio.

The World Cup is again showing that women are not content with coming second in a relationship and are realising that if they are feeling neglected, they can use a site like IllicitEncounters.com to find someone that will give them what they are looking for.”

An even more worrying thought for football fans is that 72% of normally faithful women would consider having an affair if they felt neglected during the World Cup. This could be made even more likely with a huge 83% of the men surveyed admitting they would lie to their significant other to avoid spending time with them so they could watch the football.

Answer: Percentage
Yes I would consider cheating if I was ignored during the World Cup 72%
No I would never consider cheating 21%
I don’t know 7%
Answer: Percentage
Yes I would lie to get out of spending time with my partner to watch the World Cup 83%
No I would not lie to my partner 17%

However we shouldn’t underestimate the importance of the World Cup: 12% of men surveyed were willing to forgo sex for a year for tickets to the World Cup Final. There was good news for Juan Mata, despite the terrible result for Spain against the Netherlands, he was voted the player most women would like to cheat on their husbands with, and despite her husband not even making the England line-up Abby Clancey snatched the most desirable WAG tittle from Shakira.

The survey also revealed the most unfaithful football fans with French fans taking the trophy for most adulterous, followed by Italy and Brazil with England again being closely beaten by the German fans who took 4th place.

End.

£2.5Billion A Year Spent On Office Affairs

A study commissioned by leading extra-marital affairs website IllicitEncounters.com in conjunction with NotAtWork.co.uk has revealed that office romances are costing British Businesses £2.5 billion a year.

The survey conducted in October 2012, asked business owners and employees to answer questions relating to the effect of Work-based Romances on businesses. It had some startling results, of the individuals questioned 75% admitted to thinking about engaging in an office romance and 54% already had, with a shocking 27% having done it on more than one occasion.

84% of individuals stated that it would affect their productivity within the workplace, costing their companies thousands. In fact in the last 12 months, the average cost to each business surveyed from issues relating to office romances was over £65,000. So the total cost to the UK companies in excess of £2.5 billion.

Mike Taylor, Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com, said “£2.5 Billion is an insane amount of money for companies to be spending or losing due to office-based romances, whilst most UK businesses don’t have contractual rules against employees fraternising, over 50% of the businesses surveyed acknowledged the financial implications as they would actively recommend using a dating site to find romance rather than having their staff seek it out in the workplace.”

However, some businesses are still failing to recognise the full magnitude of the problem. Although it would seem too drastic an action for many UK employers to introduce a morality clause within an employment contract. Some large US companies have had them for some time such as Disney who recently spent £2.5 Billion on Lucas Films, some of which probably came from money saved by having a morality clause.
