Women who love yoga cheat on their husbands

–  More than half of female cheats go to yoga, and it’s not to lose weight
–  Running scores second place for top fitness hobby
–  Women confess that yoga has improved their sex lives
–  Research conducted by married-dating website IllicitEncounters.com, shows that cyclists and
swimmers are the least likely to cheat

Leading dating site for married people IllicitEncounters.com surveyed 2000 of its female members
asking if they took up a sport or hobby for a minimum of 2 hours per week since embarking on an
affair. 1168 polled said yes, and over half of those chose to take up yoga.

78% of women who go to yoga also admit that the hobby has improved their sex life.

Running came second place with 20% and tennis with a respectable 14%.

The findings also indicated that women were far less likely to take up cycling (2%) or swimming (3%).

The research by IllicitEncounters.com found that the most popular reason for taking up a new sport
or hobby was to try something new (26%) and to build confidence (21%).
Stress relief came in at only 6% and getting fit or losing weight came second to last reason with only
8% of the vote.

Saskia a female member on IllicitEncounters.com “I needed more excuses to get out of the house
and spend less time with my husband. One day a work colleague suggested we try yoga, I wasn’t
expecting to enjoy it, least of all become a full-blown yogi. Yoga has changed my life – it promotes
mindfulness, reduces stress, helps strengthen your core and develops your mental and spiritual
growth.

Yoga makes you feel better about yourself. I have a lover; he’s interested in meditation. Sometimes
we go to the park and teach each other breathing techniques and yoga postures. Yoga will make you
stronger and more flexible than you can imagine, and the sex; let’s just say, there’s a whole new
meaning to downward facing dog”

Monica another female member said “I must admit I didn’t realise my affair coincided with me
starting yoga until now. My affair has been life changing, but I was still craving more. I’ve found that
I needed an entire lifestyle overhaul.

I’ve not only just taken up yoga, I’ve also become vegan, and I’ve even started painting again – which
is something I used to really enjoy. My life was so unbalanced. I was giving all of myself to my
husband and family, so much so that I completely lost who I am. It’s a little bit like the change you
seek when you go through a breakup – I don’t know who I am anymore! Then you go through this
metamorphosis and blossom into a whole new person.”

lllicitEncounters.com sex and relationship expert Jessica Leoni said: “An affair gives you that honey-
moon buzz that begins to fade from a long-term marriage. That buzz is the catalyst to self-
improvement; wanting to try new things, build confidence and make new friends. Dating someone
new brings out our adventurous side.

Women are taking up yoga to continue to boost their self-esteem after rebuilding their confidence
through an affair. I’m not at all shocked that swimming and cycling is bottom of the list, these sports
are lonely and not sexy – you would engage in these sports to lose weight only. Whereas yoga and
sex go hand in hand, add a partner into the mix and what do we have? The Kamasutra. Namaste.”

Sport or hobby taken up by female love cheats
Yoga 52%
Running 20%
Tennis 14%
Going Gym 7%
Swimming 3%
Cycling 2%
Other 2%
What is your reason for starting a new sport or hobby?
To try something new 26%
To build confidence 21%
To meet new people 17%
To spend less time with my husband 12%
Influenced by my lover 10%
To get fit or lose weight 8%
Stress relief 6%

Having More Than One Baby Likely To Result In Adultery

  • Don’t want your partner to cheat on you? Stop at baby number 1 – brownie points if it’s a girl
  • 86% of adulterers cheat after having child number 2
  • Men with daughters are far less likely to stray with only 23% admitting to cheating
  • 39% of parents have affairs because they need an escape
  • Results are from a survey conducted by UK’s leading married-dating website IllicitEncounters.com

Only 14% of cheats have one offspring, revealing that stopping at baby number one could be the answer to longevity in monogamous relationships for first time parents.

Results are from a 2019 study conducted on 2000 members of IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating site for married people.

Men are most likely to cheat on their partner if they have become bored with sex or because of the lack of sexual activity in their relationship. However, the study also discovered that men with daughters living at home are less likely to stray then men with no children at home or only sons.

The report revealed that it made little or no difference to female love cheats whether they had sons or daughters, however women were slightly more likely to cheat on their partners if they had no children at living at home with them.

The poll discovered that of all the men who have indulged in extra marital affairs only 23% of them had daughters living at home. Compared with 46% of men who had strayed who had no kids at home when their affairs began and just 31% of male love rogues who had only sons living with them.

The figures were quite different for women where the report finds that women are far less likely to stray if they have children living at home.  Of those women surveyed who have ever strayed, only 32% had children living at home. 68% of female love cheats only strayed when they had no kids living with them. Having sons or daughters living at home did not factor into women’s decisions about having affairs – 16% of those surveyed had sons.

Sarah a member on IllicitEncounters.com said ‘They say threes a crowd, try four. One baby, two toddlers and one teenager, and that’s not counting my husband who sometimes feels like another big kid. I love my family; I really do and there was a time I was very happy with my husband. We used to have adventures together, and when we had our first daughter life felt complete. It was busy sure, but in amongst the nappy changes and the sleepless nights we still found time for each other. Then came baby number 2, 3 and 4 – and poof goes my identity.

No romance, no candlelit dinners, no weekend city breaks. The only communication I have with my husband these days is to ensure the smooth running of our family schedule. That’s why I’ve chosen to have a secret life and seek out pleasure. My other man makes me feel desired again, something I have craved for such a long time. I can be Sarah – the woman, not just mum.’

Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com Jessica Leoni said ‘Want more than one baby? You’re asking for an affair. Baby number one is the Golden Child, a whole new love bubble that you can share with your significant other. If you want to have a more satisfying relationship, having one child gives you a better chance to put effort into you and your relationship.

Raising more children results in higher stress levels and less alone time with the hubby, it’s more demanding but less exciting because you’ve done it all before. Men and women are finding that having an affair is the only way to escape from parenthood and feel like themselves again.

The only exception is if a man has daughters living at home. Men are far more likely to consider their daughters feelings above their wives when contemplating affairs because of possible long-term emotional effects on their daughters.’

Top 4 reasons for parents cheating

Need an escape 39%

Lack of sex in marriage 33%

Lack emotional intimacy in marriage 22%

Other 6%

More Females Cheating than Ever

* 20% increase in female love cheats

* Biggest spike in 35-45 year old love rats

* Record breaking female sign ups to married dating website IllicitEncounters.com
Since summer 2018 there has been a shocking 20% increase of married women choosing to find sexual liaisons online with men that are not their husbands.

Over the past year lllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading extra-marital affairs site, has seen a huge increase of women signing up to their website – with data analyses predicting 2019 to break female sign up records.

The research also indicated that the biggest spike of women joining was in the age category of 35-45 years old – accounting for more than half of the increase in wedded women seeking affairs.

The study also polled 800 of its new female members on IllicitEncounters.com about what their reasons were for wanting to cheat on their partner and found that 31% of females felt they needed an adventure, and 23% were seeking an affair because they were unwilling or unable to have sex with their spouse.

Although the divorce rate in the UK is falling, recent studies reveal that infidelity is on the rise.  Historically men are more likely to cheat than women. However, IllicitEncounters.com has found that attitudes towards adultery are changing.

Experts put this down to the rise in acceptance of female empowerment and equality. TV programs such as ITV’s Love Island actively promote parity between male and female contestants to seek as many sexual liaisons as they wish in their search for a relationship. The popularity of such programmes could potentially be a catalyst towards the 20% increase of woman cheating since last summer.

Joanna a female member using IllicitEncounters.com said ‘I’m cheating because I simply require more sex than my husband is willing to provide, and I feel deprived. Honestly, married life is just the process isn’t it? School, career, husband, house, baby – it’s a checklist. There are other boxes that I need ticked, and sex is one of them – and if sex isn’t on the agenda with my husband, I will look for it somewhere else.’

Jessica Leoni, relationship expert from IllicitEncounters.com said ‘More woman cheat because they can. Once you get a taste for forbidden fruit, that’s all you’ll want from the menu.

We’re teased left right and centre with sex exposure from the media, I know for one that Love Island’s got plenty of my female friends hot under the collar.

It’s exciting isn’t it? All the devilish debauchery! Women are beginning to realise they deserve more, and our female comrades are right beside us to help nurture and encourage our illicit fantasies. The data clearly reveals that female adulterers are more like explorers on the hunt for a new adventure when married life becomes stale.

I think it’s great that ladies are having this shift in consciousness and exploring their sexuality – as Lou Reed once sung, “hey babe, take a walk on the wild side”’

Below are the top six reasons given by women for cheating on their partner:

1.       In need of an adventure 31%
2.       Unwilling or unable to have sex with spouse 23%
3.       I don’t want to leave my partner 18%
4.       I don’t feel appreciated at home 12%
5.       Seeking emotional connection 9%
6.       Other 7%
