If Your Partner Spends Big This Christmas, They Could Be Cheating On You

A staggering 81% of cheaters admit to spending big on Christmas because they feel guilty for their affair. Only 9% of adulterers go all out on expensive gifts because they enjoy it. 
 
A recent survey conducted with 600 members of married-dating website IllicitEncounters.com has revealed the most popular gifts bought by cheaters this festive season.
 
Jewellery (33%) topped the list of most popular items bought by cheating husbands, followed by gadgets/tech (19%), and fragrances (15%).
 
Cheating wives favoured new gadgets/tech, with 37% getting their spouse a new tech toy. Designer brand underwear also made the list with 23% indicating they bought their husbands posh briefs, followed by fragrances (13%).
 
The average price spent on spouses by love rats in 2020 is £625. 

Men (6%) are more likely than women (1%) to spend under £100 on their spouse this Christmas.

Alexander, a member using IllicitEncounters.com said ‘I love my wife, I’m just not in love with her anymore. She is a wonderful partner and a fantastic mum, and I often feel a guilt-trip coming on for having an affair. I’ve spent over a grand on her alone this Christmas – as a token of my affection – to show my appreciation for the great job she does for our family. Perhaps it does ease the guilt a little.’

Helen, another member on the site said ‘I’m getting my fella the playstation 5. Honestly, it isn’t even guilt for me – we do alright financially, and I want to give him a nice present. With him spending more time playing video games, it’ll also be easier for me to sneak away and see my lover. Kill two birds with one stone, merry christmas!’

‘It seems guilty pockets are pretty deep! With adulterers spending in excess of £600 to quell their sins. I’d be pretty worried if I was presented with the new Playstation 5 or the latest iPhone 12 this year as gadgets/tech both make it in the top 2 for men and women.

In a survey of 600 members on the site who’ve already found themselves a mistress or a histress, a whopping 69% plan to sneak away on Unfaithful Friday for one final rendezvous before the year’s end.
 
Flashy gifts are nice to receive, but they could be a sign that your partner is cheating on you. 82% of the 300 cheating men that took part in the study admit to spending big on Christmas because they feel guilty for their affair. The top present gifted at Christmas to wives is jewellery 33%, followed by gadgets/tech (19%)
 
Paula, a member using IllicitEncounters.com, said ‘It’s the last weekend I can get away from my husband and kids, and have some adult company. The winter break is torturous, I’m so busy decorating the house, shopping for presents, trying to make everything fun for everyone, that there’s very little fun left for me. Giving myself a much needed break before the chaos, makes it all a lot easier to cope.’
 
Leo, another member using the site said ‘I’ve been having an affair with an extraordinary woman for 6 years. Some time ago we started having our own festive fun in the week leading up to Christmas. Wine, food, swapping gifts, it’s become tradition.’

3000 men and women, split equally, took part in the survey, voting on which city is home to the best sexual partners. Sex and relationships expert for IllicitEncounters.com, Jessica Leoni has compiled and commented on the results below:

Turns out you really can tell whether someone’s going to be good in bed, and it all comes down to where they are from!

Londoners are officially the best between the sheets for both men (22%) and women (20%). The cultural hub of the United Kingdom, there’s simply something for everyone here. London, notorious for being one of the most romantic cities in the world – evokes sex appeal. It isn’t utterly surprising the public voted Londoners as the best lovers, picture this, Hugh Grant, Jude Law, Emilia Clarke and Kate Moss – all Londoners!

Men voted for Mancs in second place with Manchester gaining 18% of the vote, sexy female celebs from Manchester include Gemma Atkinson, Holliday Grainger, and Agyness Deyn – phwoar!

Newcastle comes in as third best lay (14%) for men, home to the likes of Cheryl Cole, Vicky Pattison and Charlotte Crosby.

Men least enjoy sleeping with Brummies, with Birmingham grasping at a mere 2% of the vote

Women voted for Manchester in second (17%) – home to Jamie Lomas, Marcus Rashford and Oasis.

In second place for women come the Scots with Glasgow gaining 15% of the vote, think James Mccavoy, swoon! 

Seems that women really do like variety in the bedroom, or at least a total change in accent – funny that, considering talking dirty does not rank high for women when it comes to sex appeal (8%).

Women least enjoy sleeping with Scousers with only 3% of the vote going to Liverpool.

Both men (54%) and women (51%)  agree that ‘confidence’ is the number one quality that determines if someone is going to be good in the sack.

Second place for men is ‘dirty talk’ (18%), followed by ‘dressing sexy’ (14%).

Second place for women is ‘foreplay’ (22%), followed by ‘slowing the pace’ (15%).

How faithful is your star sign?

Are we fated to cheat? IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s top extramarital dating site, analysed data of 120,000 of it’s married members and found that certain astrological signs are more likely to stray than others. 

Disloyal Libra’s are the most likely to have an affair, winning top cheating star sign of 2020, with a whopping 16% of adulterers belonging to this astrological sign.

Two-faced Geminis come in at a close second with 14%, followed by cheating Capricorns third with 12%.

Looking for commitment? Look no further than the steadfast Scorpio, the most faithful star sign of the zodiac with only 3% of Scorpios cheating – they’re a safe bet for monogamy. 

Other star signs less likely to cheat are Aquarius 4% and Sagittarius 4%

Although the archer belongs to one of the most faithful, the same can’t be said for their partners. A further 1200 members were asked what star sign their spouse belonged to, and found that a mammoth 13% of adulterers are married to a Sagittarius. 

Michaela a Libra using the site said “I first cheated on my husband, with a work colleague, at a Christmas party five years ago. It was such a rush, having this dirty little secret.

Nowadays I only cheat with married men – that way you both stand to lose a lot, and are less likely to get caught. I’m never going to leave my husband, but I just can’t help that I am much more adventurous and need more sex then he does.”

Cecilia a Gemini using the site said “I have always felt that monogamous relationships are a thing of the past. Me and my husband both date other people, but we are each other’s primary relationship. We absolutely adore each other, and would never leave our marriage – but we both feel that variety is important in life.”

Libra is the most likely to cheat, not surprising at all. Libras are social butterflies, who dislike being alone. If a Libra is married to someone who isnt always available – it’s only natural they’d be seeking validation and company elsewhere. Gregarious Geminis are similar in that respect, another air sign, Geminis are renowned for having two often contradicting personalities – and although they love companionship, they’re fearful of commitment.
