Men are lustful, while women want something more. IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people, surveyed over 1000 of their members and found that 58% of men have an affair for sex, compared to 40% of women, while 65% of women have an affair in search of a deeper, more meaningful relationship.

Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com, Christian Grant, explains: “Typical men, right? Maybe, maybe not. The average man on IllicitEncounters.com is a high earner and a hard worker. As it stands, he just about has enough time to juggle his current daily routine, balancing his work and familial responsibilities.

There simply isn’t any room for him to meet a second woman and delve into a deep and meaningful relationship. A quick fling however, now that’s an entirely different story.

The women on the other hand are the ones who find themselves on the receiving end of this kind of a relationship. Their husbands work long hours, sacrifice time spent at home for time spent at work, so they’re yearning for some companionship.

Women want what they can’t have at home; they can’t be wined, dined and experience something meaningful.”

Maria, a 42-year-old estate agent from London, said: “One of the big compromises of having a successful career is inevitably a lack of time spent in other areas. In my marriage, I am that other area. While I love my husband, I can’t remember the last time we spent any sort of meaningful, quality time together – even something small.”

But what happens when the tables are turned? IllicitEncounters.com found that almost two thirds of men were jealous of an intimate affair (63%), while over half of women (54%) were more likely to be jealous of an emotional affair.

Grant explains: “For a lot of men, the idea that another man is able to satisfy his wife’s needs better than they can is a demoralizing and emasculating thought. Women, meanwhile, are more concerned with their husband’s being emotionally unfaithful. Sex might not even come into the equation – it’s more so the idea that their man prefers being in the company of another woman.”

People marry young, grow old, retire, and spend their remaining years together. It’s innocent and romantic, but it could also be more fantasy than reality, as IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people, has reported a 10% increase year on year in the number of over 60’s signing up to the site in the last 12 months.

There are a myriad of reasons for the increase, as IllicitEncounters’ spokesperson, Christian Grant, explains:

“Remaining committed and faithful to one person over a period of many years, or in this case decades, is one of the hardest things someone can do. It’s made even harder when growing old, and the changes that come with it begin to take their toll.

For one, people change and grow apart; the person you marry at 30 isn’t necessarily going to be the same person at 60, and your tastes could change, too. At that age, the last thing you want to be worrying about is going through a complicated divorce.

And, while not exclusive to this age bracket, there’s the very real possibility that a number of health issues can inhibit and cripple a couple’s sex life. In fact, in a survey of over 1000 IllicitEncounters.com members over the age of 60, 37% said that a lack of sex at home was their main reason for joining the site.

24% said that they were no longer attracted to their partner, 15% wanted to experience something new, while 10% wanted to feel young again.

‘Cheating map’ Reveals Britain’s Top 140 Towns for extra-marital Affairs!

* High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire is Britain’s cheating capital with 2,119 men and women having affairs;

* High proportion of wealthy commuter towns in the top 10;

The most adulterous town in the UK is posh High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, according to a new table of the country’s 140 cheating hotspots.

The middle class commuter town has been officially named as the place where a husband or wife is most likely to have an affair.

Wealthy High Wycombe has 2,119 people cheating out of a population of 120,256.
The interactive Infidelity Index allows users to search a town to discover how many people are having affairs in any locality.

High Wycombe came out highest, with 2.12% of the population cheating.

In second place was another middle class commuter town, Guildford in Surrey, with 1,250 cheats (2.05% of the population) and Aldershot in Hampshire came third.

Cumbernauld, fifth in the overall UK table, was Scotland’s cheating capital. Wrexham, a lowly 55 in the UK table, was Wales’s cheating capital – suggesting that couples in the Principality are having fewer affairs than elsewhere in the UK.

Many of the towns with the highest numbers of cheats are wealthy areas in the south of England.

The most faithful town, perhaps surprisingly, was Brentwood in Essex – shattering the myth that Essex girls (and boys) are promiscuous. Brentwood is where many of the cast of the TV show The Only Way Is Essex live or socialise.

Famous people from High Wycombe include the TV chef Heston Blumenthal, comedian Jimmy Carr, actor James Corden and TV presenter Fern Britton.

With an average house price of £269,681 – far above the national average of £188,270 – it is one of the most desirable places to live in the UK.

The figures were compiled by IllicitEncounters.com, Britain’s leading dating website for married people.

They are based on its own extensive data on the numbers of Britons cheating.

Since its inception 13 years ago, more than 1 million people have registered with the site.
IllicitEncounters.com has seen a 20% surge in registrations in the last five years because many couples simply cannot afford to divorce due economic pressures and ever-rising house prices.

Increasing numbers of couples are trapped in unhappy marriages but they are reluctant to divorce and are using IllicitEncounters.com to inject to some excitement into their lives with like-minded married men who also have no intention of leaving their partners.
