Meet the People Who Cheated on their Partner… On Christmas Day

Love has no boundaries, but whether you’d call the following adulterers hopelessly romantic or greedy and lustful depends on your point of view.

IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people and the leading authority on infidelity, spoke to three of their members who managed to cheat on their partners, even on Christmas Day.

The three members (whose stories appear below) have been cheating on their respective partners prior to Christmas Day, but they each planned and executed an affair in arguably the most shocking of circumstances.

The site’s spokesperson, Christian Grant, expands:

“For there to be a clear breakdown in one’s relationship is bad enough. No one likes to be deceived, and we all want to patch things up when our relationship starts taking on some water.

“However, you’d think that there would be some exceptions… that the adulterers in question would have some moral lines that they simply could not cross; it’s the one day of the year you’d think would be a clear no go.

“Christmas is usually the loneliest time of the year for an adulterer, with their secret tryst spending an extended period of time with their significant other, but for these three people, Christmas Day was instead the perfect opportunity for a salacious get together that simply couldn’t be missed.

“It’s a damning indictment on the state of relationships today.”
Case Studies

Michael – 44 – London

“I’ve been seeing someone that I met on the site for the best part of 4 months. She was the one who initially suggested meeting up around Christmas. Fortunately, she lives nearby (though this has normally caused us more problems than it has provided solutions).

“I dismissed the idea of meeting her on Christmas for the obvious reasons, primarily because of the logistical difficulties. However, she suggested we meet early in the morning.

“This works for me, as I’m normally up early to go for a run, so my absence in the early hours (should my wife have woken up) could have been excused.

“Anyway, we met at a nearby day-use hotel that she’d booked in advance, did the deed, and on we went. Anyone who would have seen us leave the hotel that morning would have thought we were a loving couple who were celebrating Christmas in their own inimitable way, not two adulterers who’d just copulated.”

Elle – 31 – Nottingham

“My colleague and I (we work for the police) have been having an affair since May. We’ve had sex at work a few times in the past, but we normally like to be as far away from people we know as possible.

“However, he suggested that we both work the Christmas Day shift – things are generally little bit quieter – as it would be the last opportunity we would have to ‘see’ each other for a little while.

“To cut a long story short, we slept with each other a few times throughout the day where we could.

“There was something thrilling about it, but I have to be honest and say that it felt more wrong than cheating on my husband on Christmas.

“I’ve never kidded myself and thought that I wasn’t doing something bad by going behind my husband’s back like this – I suppose I’m just greedy – but I’d be lying if I said that I didn’t feel some regret after this; that’s one of the main reasons I’ve writtern [to you], to get it off my chest.”

Katie – 28 – Hertfordshire

“Every year I spend Christmas morning and lunch with my immediate family, before driving to my boyfriend’s house in Ashford to spend the evening with him. Obviously, that drive in-between is my window of opportunity. The man I met on IE is widowed, so his Christmas plans were relatively empty, so, I stopped off at his place on the way to Kent.

“Both men offer something (physically and emotionally) that other doesn’t, so I get the best of both worlds in that respect, though it’s normally tough to juggle both. In any case, the opportunity arose, and I couldn’t think of a good reason not to take it.”

2016 Was the UK’s Biggest Ever Year for Affairs…And Women Were Worse Than Men

Image result for cheating

  • 2016 was the biggest year for affairs in the UK, new research has revealed
  • A record-breaking amount of married people (over 100,000) joined married-dating website IllicitEncounters.com in search of an affair
  • Interestingly, the majority of those (55%) were women, dispelling the myth that men sleep around to get notches on their bedpost and praise from their friends
  • The biggest cheating days of the year were May 21st, July 10th, July 22nd and November 18th
  • With less and less people getting married (and therefore having less to lose), 2017 is expected to be an even bigger year for affairs in the UK

2016 saw more affairs on record than any ever before, new research has revealed. Over 100,000 married people joined IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people and the leading authority on infidelity, during from January 1st to December 19th 2016, with more people engaging in illicit affairs than in any other year since 2003; this was up by almost 10,000 people on the previous year.

Interestingly, more woman than men went in search of an affair in 2016, making up 55% of all registrations in 2016 so far.

Keeping with women, over 30% of all female sign ups came from women between the ages of 31 – 40, while 22% were aged 21 – 30.

A further 19% were 41 – 50 years old, 15% were between the ages of 51 – 60, with the remaining 14% being over the age of 60.

Men between the ages of 31 – 40 also proved to be popular, making up 35% of all sign ups in 2016. 20% were between the ages of 41 – 50, 17% between the ages of 51 – 60, with 13% being between the ages of 21 – 30; the remaining 15% were aged 60 and over.

The most popular days for affairs in 2016 were May 21st, July 10th, July 22nd and November 18th.

May 21st and July 10th represented the two single biggest days of the year for female sign ups, with husbands around the country seemingly abandoning their wives to watch the FA Cup and Euro 2016 finals respectively.

July 22nd was the biggest day of affairs for the summer, with adulterers having one last summer fling before jetting off on holiday with their family.

Similarly, November 18th represented the final and biggest day for adulterers to cheat before the year’s end, with the Christmas festivities and familial responsibilities taking priority in the weeks afterward.

The site’s spokesperson, Christian Grant, expands:

“With more women looking to cheat than men, especially those between the ages of 21 – 30, it goes some way to dispelling the myth that blokes, especially young ones, sleep around to get notches on their bedpost and high fives from their mates – it seems that women are far worse.

“The stats also show that anyone of any age is susceptible to an affair. While recent research from the Office for National Statistics has shown a decrease in the amount of people getting divorced, the amount of people getting married has also significantly decreased.

“Part of that is down to the alarming lack of commitment shown by some couples – why would you want to get married if you’re wary of your partner cheating? Unfortunately, that starts a vicious cycle; it’s easier to cheat if you’re not married, because you’ve got so much less to lose.

“There’s no worry about who gets what from the fallout of a divorce, whether that’s the house, money or custody of the children, because the prospect of divorce doesn’t exist. That’s why we can say with a great degree of certainty that we expect to see even more people having affairs in 2017.”

Revealed: The Most Popular Lie Cheating Wives Will Tell Their Husband this Christmas…

Image result for wife lie

  • 36% of married women are using ‘Christmas shopping’ as an excuse for a festive fling this Christmas
  • Christmas shopping is the perfect cover, affording the adulterer all the time and freedom they need for a salacious rendezvous
  • The tried and true excuses of ‘going to the gym,’ ‘meeting with girlfriends’ or even ‘working overtime’ weren’t as popular as expected, receiving just 9%, 6% and 5% of the vote respectively.
  • The results come as a result of a survey of over 500 women on IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people

A seemingly innocent round of Christmas shopping could be hiding something much more sinister. That’s according to new research from IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people and the leading authority on infidelity, who surveyed over 500 women on their site.

36% of respondents said that they’d used Christmas shopping as an excuse to slip out and meet their extramarital lover.

The tried and true excuses of ‘going to the gym,’ ‘meeting with girlfriends’ or even ‘working overtime’ weren’t as popular as expected, receiving just 9%, 6% and 5% of the vote respectively.

Christian Grant, spokesperson for the site, explains why married women are shopping for something a little different this Christmas:

“No matter who you are or where you’re from, Christmas shopping is the perfect cover for an undercover rendezvous.

“A combination of holiday days, children off of school and some generally poor weather makes the classic excuses a little less believable – not so Christmas shopping.

“To do an extensive round of ‘shopping’, you’ll need plenty of time of course.

“You also might want to travel a little further beyond your local parade of shops. And, if you don’t get everything you wanted the first time around, you can go again another day and do it all over again.

“As long as you don’t return home completely empty handed from your ‘shop’, you’re likely to get away with it every single time.

“The only thing worth keeping in mind is any inexplicable transactions that may appear on your bank statement – visits to hotels or payments for a meal for two people are best avoided if possible; cash is your friend.”

Revealed: Nearly 1 In 5 Cheat at the Office Christmas Party

Image result for office christmas party cheat

  • 18% of married people have cheated at the office Christmas party, a new survey has revealed
  • 45% admitted to kissing a colleague, while 77% flirted with one
  • 6% went all the way, having sex with their colleague, while 4% did it with their boss
  • 18% put their job on the line, telling their boss what they really thought of them
  • The results come from an annual survey of over 1,000 people on IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people

Horrible karaoke, second hand embarrassment, and an illicit relationship with a colleague – the office Christmas party has it all.

An annual survey of over 1,000 people on IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people and the leading authority on infidelity, found that 18% of those surveyed cheated with a colleague at the office Christmas party.

To be specific, 45% admitted to kissing a colleague, 66% seductively danced with one, while a whopping 77% flirted with one. 6% even admitted to going all the way and had sex with a colleague, while 4% had sex with their boss.

The site’s spokesperson, Christian Grant, explains:

“The combination of good drinks and good vibes creates a scenario that’s ripe for cheating; whether that manifests itself as something as innocent as a bit of flirting or a full-blown affair is another story.

“Maybe you’ve always found your colleague attractive, and a little bit of alcohol is all that was needed for you to cross the line.

“Unfortunately, sleeping with a colleague can be more damaging in the long run than cheating with a stranger on a night out, or even with someone you meet online.

“Once the hangover disappears, the reality of your actions will sink in, and you’ll have to return to work in the coming days and weeks and confront your colleague one way or another – you’ll never be able to look them in the eye the same way again, that’s for sure.”

And the ramifications could be even worse for some, as 18% admitted to telling their boss exactly what they thought of them at the office Christmas party, with a further 14% admitting to having a shared a secret that they shouldn’t have.

“This almost always ends badly,” said Grant.

“At best, your boss will dismiss – or forget – your drunken ramblings. At worst, you’ll be in for a stern talking to the next day; you have absolutely nothing to gain.

“While the Christmas party is intended to be fun, it’s important to maintain a semblance of professionalism if you can.”
