Over a quarter of married couples are OK with their partner cheating

It seems that views regarding monogamy are rapidly changing as more married couples opt to open their relationships and become more open and honest with each other.

IllicitEncounters.com polled 2700 of its members asking them “Has your spouse given you permission to cheat?”

A staggering 26% of those surveyed confirmed that their spouse is OK with them cheating.

The study reveals that 12% of adulterers have actually received permission from their partner to date outside of their marriage.

8% of adulterers have a mutual agreement with their spouse that allows them to enjoy an affair, and 6% admit their partner turns a blind eye.

61% of members that were allowed to stray were men, indicating that women are more likely to allow their husbands to cheat.

Diana, a current member using the site, said “My husband and I have been together for 17 years. We’ve worked hard at a good life, raised 2 fantastic kids who’ve long flown the nest; life has been kind to us. My husband is my best friend, but we have lost interest in each other sexually, although we do still sleep in the same bed every night that we’re together.

Five years ago, after a friends dinner party we had a heart-to-heart and admitted we were lacking passion and desire, and we took the risk and decided to open up our relationship. It has really worked well for us. We don’t share any of the intimate details, we’re discreet in order to respect each other’s feelings, and when we are together we simply carry on with our marital life.

I would recommend an affair to any couple in a similar situation, it’s actually brought us closer together. If you can’t be honest, even about the deepest and darkest of needs and desires, then you’re always, always going to feel trapped.”

If your spouse drives a German car, they may be having an affair

Is it possible to tell an adulterer by the vehicle they drive? IllicitEncounters.com surveyed 2500 of its members, asking them which brand of car they are currently driving.

Volkswagen wins the crown with 22%, as the top cheating car driven by men in the UK. It comes as no surprise, as Volkswagen, based in Wolfsburg, Germany, announce record sales for last year.

Mercedes is the number one car driven by affair seeking women (20%).

BMW comes in second for both men and women, with 18% and 17% respectively.

The car least driven by cheating men and women is the Fiat, with only 0.2% combined.

Flashy cars and sex appeal have always gone well together, with research even indicating having a nice car can change you from a 4/10 to an 8/10, with 58% of women claiming a man’s car affects his dateability.*

Car manufacturers are aware of this and will often sexualise their adverts, with Mercedes previously advertising their fleet of cars, in a now banned, infidelity advert.

Rather than focus on the obvious, IllicitEncounters.com put the vote to 800 of it’s users with a slightly different kind of poll – what sexy bedroom adventures would they most like to explore in 2020.

400 men and 400 women were questioned on whether they would like to try out any of the following sex adventures in 2020 and here are the results.

Top sexual adventure for men to explore in the bedroom is sex in public 90%, a stark contrast to women, of which only 34% were interested in ticking this adventure off their bucket list. Close second adventure for men is hotel sex with 88% of the vote.

Top sexual adventure for women to explore in the bedroom is foreplay 92%, followed by phone sex 82%

Men would least like to try out role play 32% and women would least like to engage in a threesome 24%

Phone sex is the top sexual fantasy for men and women combined with 80.5% of men and women wanting to try phone sex in 2020.

Sexy New Year Bucket List

Sex in Public
Men – 90% said yes
Women – 34% said yes

Usually explored in the honeymoon period of a relationship when you simply cannot keep your hands off each other. It’s naughty and dangerous, not to mention subject to nudity and decency laws – not one for the fainthearted! My recommendation is to find somewhere isolated and discrete for those wanting to try sex in public for the very first time, before you join the expert level mile high club.
