The UK’s Most Adulterous Constituencies Have Been Revealed

The UK’s Most Adulterous Constituencies Have Been Revealed

  • Labour are officially the most adulterous political party in the UK, home to 15.56% of the UK’s electorate
  • The Conservatives, home to backstabbers such as Michael Gove, have an unfaithful voting base, too; they’re third overall with 11.96% of the electorate
  • The 2015 Election Infidelity Index saw the Conservatives oust Labour by 13.67% compared to 13.08%. With the Conservatives going on to win that election, Corbyn could be set to win this year, with the old adage of cheaters never prosper being proven false.
  • Labour constituency, Westminster North, is the most adulterous constituency in the UK, while the most faithful is South Cambridgeshire, currently held by the Conservatives
  • The most faithful political party are in fact UKIP – home to just 3.39% of all adulterers
  • Theresa May’s constituency, Maidenhead, is the 45th most adulterous overall, while Corbyn’s, Islington North, is one of the most faithful in the UK – 580th
  • The Election Infidelity Index is compiled by IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people

It’s unclear as to who might occupy Number 10 in a week or so, however, what we can definitely say right now is that Jeremy Corbyn is the winner, but not of a poll that he’d be particularly proud of.

IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people and the leading authority on infidelity, have compiled the 2017 Election Infidelity Index, which lists each constituency in the UK in order of how adulterous they are, as well as the most and least adulterous political parties.

As it turns out, Labour voters are officially the biggest love rats in the UK, with Corbyn’s party home to 15.56% of UK’s electorate. And with Corbyn’s own party betraying him – whether that’s the leaking of his manifesto or challenging his leadership last year – it’s no surprise to see the party as the most unfaithful.

Meanwhile, the Conservatives, who themselves are no strangers to a bit of backstabbing – we’re looking at you here, Gove – are in third place with 11.96% of the electorate.

It makes a change from the 2015 Election Infidelity Index, in which the Conservatives ousted Labour by 13.67% compared to 13.08%. Perhaps that makes good reading for Corbyn; with the Conservatives going on to win the 2015 General Election, it proves that the old adage of cheaters never prosper is in fact false.

You can found out how unfaithful your constituency is by clicking here, and you can see how the Election Infidelity Index was calculated below*.

North of the border, Nicola Sturgeon, who seems hellbent on jettisoning Scotland out of the UK, can take some solace from the fact that her supporters also have trust and commitment issues; with 13.97% of the electorate being unfaithful, the SNP are the 2nd most adulterous party in the UK.

Interestingly, the most faithful voters are UKIP, with just 3.39% of the electorate, although the most faithful constituency overall is Kingston and Surbiton, currently held by Conservative MP James Berry.

The top 6 most adulterous constituencies all currently held by a Labour MP; Westminster North, Nottingham South, Leyton and Wanstead, West Bromwich West, Greenwich and Woolwich and Newcastle upon Tyne East finished 1st to 6th respectively.

The most adulterous Conservative constituency, and 7th overall, is South Cambridgeshire, currently held by Heidi Allen.

While he leads the most unfaitfhul party in the country, Jeremy Corbyn’s constituency (Islington North) is one of the most faithful in the country – 580th out of a possible 650th.

And with regards to our Prime Minister? She’s fighting for re-election in what is the 45th most adulterous constituency in the UK – Maidenhead.

While Liberal Democrat leader Tim Farron aims to prove why his party is relevant, his constituency comes in an aptly boring and non-eventful 486th place; UKIP leader Paul Nuttall resides in Boston and Skegness – 146th overall. South Thanet, where Nigel Farage stood for election in 2015, is 140th overall.

In terms of the SNP, Nicola Sturgeon’s constituency – Glasgow South – is 107th, while the most adulterous Scottish constituency overall is Glasgow North, currently held by SNP MP Patrick Grady. It is the 10th most adulterous constituency overall.

The site’s spokesperson, Christian Grant, explains:

“Most of his MP’s don’t like him, some are actively betraying him by leaking his manifesto, so is it any surprise to see Labour as the most unfaithful political party in the UK? Probably not.

“The good news for Jeremy is that If this is any reflection of the public’s voting intention, then he can look forward to the next five years as our leader. With that said, the Conservatives aren’t far behind, and with Michael Gove among their ranks, they know first hand what betrayal looks like. Let’s not forget that Boris Johnson himself has a fairly patchy history when it comes to infidelity.

“Meanwhile, the SNP, desperate to leave the UK, also want to leave their partners from the look of it, or at the very least cheat on them.

“What is a turn up for the books, however, is the performance of UKIP. While Paul Nuttall is much maligned, so too Nigel Farage in some quarters, their electorate are among the most faithful among us.

“There are other ways to look at it, however. With Labour currently occupying more seats in the north of the country – and in places that are generally less affluent – it’s no surprise to see their voters stray.

“Many people cheat out of fear of the economic implications of a divorce. I mean, why risk your financial security when you can safely fill the gaping hole in your relationship?”

For the full results, head to www.electioninfidelity.com.

*The number of people cheating in each constituency was calculated using the postcode data of members of IllicitEncounters.com. This was then run against the number of people eligible to vote in each constituency to give a percentage or Infidelity Index for that area. The results of each constituency following the 2015 General Election were used when compiling the data, meaning that MPs that may have resigned in recent weeks or months are still included if they were elected in 2015.

The UK’s Sexiest Accents Have Been Revealed

The UK’s Sexiest Accents Have Been Revealed

  • The sexiest accent in the UK is Scottish (for men) and Irish (for women)
  • The West Country accent has been voted the least sexy accent for both men and women for the 2nd year running
  • As many as 20% of men and 17% of women said that they wouldn’t date someone if they had an unattractive accent
  • The results comes as part of a survey of over 750 people on lllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people

The UK’s sexiest accents have officially been revealed.

IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people and the leading authority on infidelity, surveyed over 750 men and women in search of the UK’s sexiest accents and it’s good news for Scottish blokes and Irish women, who garnered 24% and 26% of the female and male vote respectively.

On the other hand, people from the West Country looking for love are at a disadvantage the second they open their mouth; they received just 2% of the male vote and less than 1% of the female vote,

With that said, they should be used to it by now. In fact, they’re no stranger to this particular accolade; it’s the 2nd year in a row that they’ve had this honour bestowed upon them.

Other popular accents for men included posh (20%) and Irish (19%), while posh (21%) and Geordie (14%) were the 2nd and 3rd sexiest female accents.

Interestingly, as many as 20% of men and 17% of women said that an unattractive accent would be enough of an issue that they wouldn’t date someone.

The site’s spokesperson, Christian Grant, explains the popularity of the Scottish and Irish accents, and what exactly the people of the UK have against the voices of those in the West Country:

“As the results seem to prove, women tend to gravitate to accents that they associate with being manly and masculine.

“Take the Scottish for example; usually very deep, gruff, raw, and with tons of attractive Scottish celebrities to boot – Gerard Butler, David Tennant – while the posh accident exudes a certain level of status.

“From a man’s perspective, it’s a little less clear. Irish women topped the tree, but they were followed by the posh and Geordie accents; it’s hard to find a more eclectic mix of accents.

“What is clear is the qualities that men find attractive in a woman’s voice aren’t to be found when a woman from the West Country opens her mouth.”

Sexiest Male Accent

  1. Scottish (24%)
  2. Posh (20%)
  3. Irish (19%)
  4. Mancunian (14%)
  5. Other (10%)
  6. Geordie (8%)
  7. Liverpudlian (4%)
  8. West Country (1%)

Sexiest Female Accent

  1. Irish (26%)
  2. Posh (21%)
  3. Geordie (14%)
  4. Brummie (12%)
  5. Mancunian (10%)
  6. Other (10%)
  7. Scottish (6%)
  8. West Country (1%)

Theresa May Leads the Polls As She’s Officially Voted the UK’s Sexiest Politician

  • Jeremy Hunt and Theresa May are officially the UK’s sexiest politicians
  • With 24% of the female vote and 24% of the male vote, Jeremy Hunt and Theresa May top the list
  • On the other hand, Liberal Democrat leader Tim Farron (3%) and Shadow Home Secretary Dianne Abbott (2%) are the least desirable politicians
  • Men said that power (40%), intelligence (30%) and solvency (25%) were the most important factors behind their decisions
  • Women had a similar set of priorities; intelligence (44%), power (30%) and solvency (20%).
  • The results come from a survey of over 500 members on IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people

With the general election just weeks away, IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people and the leading authority on infidelity, has asked its members to take part in a slightly different kind of poll, with over 500 of its members asked on which politician they find sexiest.

Surprisingly, much maligned health secretary Jeremy Hunt topped the polls, receiving 24% of the female vote.

In second place was none other than Boris Johnson (20%), followed closely by Labour MP Dan Jarvis (15%) and, oddly, Jeremy Corbyn (10%),

On the other hand, Liberal Democrat leader Tim Farron received just 3% of the vote, making him the least attractive politician.

John McDonnell, didn’t fare so well either; with just 5% of the vote, only Tim Farron is less attractive than he is.

Other notable entries include former UKIP leader Nigel Farage, who received 7% of the female vote.

Perhaps rather surprisingly, Theresa May was voted as the sexiest female politician (24%), with Yvette Cooper a close second (20%). Green Party leader Caroline Lucas rounded off the top 3 (18%).

There was no surprise when it came to the least popular female politician however: Dianne Abbott. Receiving just 2% of the male vote, she beat Emily Thornberry (4%) and Nicky Morgan (6%) to bottom spot.

Scottish Conservative leader Ruth Davidson also featured,  as did Conservative MP Esther McVey;  both received 9% of the vote.

Men said that power (40%), intelligence (30%) and solvency (25%) were the most important factors behind their decisions, while women had a similar set of priorities; intelligence (44%), power (30%) and solvency (20%).

Christian Grant, spokesperson for the site, explains:

“It’s fair to say that, on the looks front, the British political scene is missing a Justin Trudeau, Emmanuel Macron or even a Sarah Palin.

“What we do have, however, are intelligent and solvent people, and that’s where the attraction seems to primarily lie. Theresa May kitted out in lingerie doesn’t really make for a sexy calendar, but for many people, power is attractive, and she’s definitely got that in abundance.

“The same can be said of Corbyn; he’s got that cute grandad thing going on. For Tim Farron and Dianne Abbot, however, well, the latter hasn’t even mastered the basics of mathematics for crying out loud.”

Most Attractive Politicians – Male

  1. Jeremy Hunt (24%)
  2. Boris Johnson (20%)
  3. Dan Jarvis (15%)
  4. Jeremy Corbyn (10%)
  5. Michael Gove (8%)
  6. Other (8%)
  7. Nigel Farage (7%)
  8. John McDonnell (5%)
  9. Tim Farron (3%)

Most Attractive Politicians – Female

  1. Theresa May (24%)
  2. Yvette Cooper (20%)
  3. Caroline Lucas (18%)
  4. Esther McVey (9%)
  5. Ruth Davidson (9%)
  6. Other (8%)
  7. Nicky Morgan (6%)
  8. Emily Thornberry (4%)
  9. Dianne Abbott (2%)

The Most Successful Words for An Online Dating Profile Have Been Revealed

  • The comprehensive list of the best and worst adjectives to use for your online dating profile have been revealed
  • Men are looking for a woman who describes herself as sexy, honest and confident, while women want honesty, intelligence and confidence
  • Women should stay away from describing themselves as shy, trustworthy and happy, while men should also avoid shy and happy, as well as curvy
  • Many men (4%) like women who describe themselves as curvy, but only 0.6% of women describe themselves in this way
  • Interestingly, women are more likely to describe themselves as sexy, but they’re less likely to ask for someone sexy in return
  • The results come from IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people, who studied over 400,000 profiles on their site

Struggling to get much attention on your online dating profile? Include the words “sexy”, “honest” and “confident” and your chances of success will significantly increase.

IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people and the leading authority on infidelity, studied over 400,000 profiles on their site to find what men and women were both looking for from their ideal partner, as well as how they described themselves.

If you’re a woman, then the key words to include on your profile are “sexy”, “honest” and “confident” as 15%, 10% and 7% of men respectively are after these traits more so than anything else.

In the meantime, stay well clear of describing yourself as shy (2%), trustworthy (1%) and, oddly enough, happy (0.3%).

If you’re a man whose profile is filled with references to how handsome everyone tells you you are, remove all of that and instead refer to yourself as honest (13%), intelligent (10%) and confident (9%); women value your character over your vanity.

In terms of what to avoid, there’s nothing that screams “undateable” quite like referring to yourself as shy, curvy or, again, happy; just  1%, 0.09% and 0.4% of women respectively are looking for these traits.

In terms of how people described themselves, you’re most likely to stumble across a man who’s honest (10%), intelligent (9%) and confident (8%), while women are honest (9%), sexy (8%) and intelligent (7%).

Interestingly, many men (4%) like women who describe themselves as curvy, but only 0.6% of women describe themselves in this way. Women are, however, more likely to describe themselves as sexy, but they’re less likely to ask for someone sexy in return.

The site’s spokesperson, Christian Grant, explained the importance of creating a good first impression:

“With so much competition, the world of online dating is all about fine margins; anything that’s even slightly off-putting marks you as a liability.

“Many people struggle to strike the balance between confidence and arrogance, instead adopting an overly modest approach, but that rarely works. Who wants to go out with someone who describes themselves as shy and introverted? Nobody, that’s who.

“It’s no surprise to see that both men and women are looking for someone whose honest and confident, but there are some interesting differences between the sexes.

“Most notably, men are, on the whole, gravitated more toward someone who really sells their looks; words such as ‘sexy’ or ‘curvy’ are all-important.

“While these aren’t exactly unimportant to women, you’ll find that they’re more concerned if someone’s intelligent or affectionate  – without that, it doesn’t matter how sexy you are.”
Best to worst adjectives for your dating profile – Women

  1. Sexy
  2. Honest / Honesty
  3. Confident
  4. Affectionate
  5. Intelligent
  6. Humorous
  7. Romance / Romantic

The ideal number of sexual partners has been revealed, and 12 is the magic number

  • There *is* an ideal number of sexual partners to have had, and it’s 12
  • IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people, surveyed over 1,000 people to find that 40% of men and 49% of women thought that between 10 and 14 partners is best, with 12 being perfect
  • 60% of men and 55% of women agreed that sleeping with as many as 12 partners is indicative of someone who’s sexually adventurous, liberal and transient.
  • Conversely, 70% of men and 66% of women said that anything less than 10 partners indicates sexual inexperience and a lack of adventure in the bedroom
  • Men and women disagreed when it came to sexual history; over half of men want to know how many people their partner has slept with – they want to know what the competition is like – while as little as 45% of women are interested

Is there an ideal number of sexual partners someone can have? As it turns out, yes, and that number is 12.

IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people and the leading authority on infidelity, surveyed over 1,000 people to find out how many sexual partners they’d want their new lover to have had.

As many as 40% of men and 49% of women said that between 10 and 14 partners is best, making it the most popular answer. Within that range, both men and women landed on 12 as the perfect number.

As it turns out, this represents an increase on last year’s finding, where 10 was seen as the ideal number.

Why 12? Well, 60% of men and 55% of women agreed that sleeping with as many as 12 partners is indicative of someone who’s sexually adventurous, liberal and transient.

At the same time, an overwhelming 70% of men and 66% of women said that anything less than 10 partners indicates sexual inexperience and, more importantly, someone who is a bit too conservative in the bedroom.

Both sexes also agreed that anything above 19 partners is a red flag, indicating that perhaps someone is too eager to jump from partner to partner, or simply too selfish and very difficult to please.

There is, however, one notable point in which men and women fundamentally disagreed, and that’s in knowing their partner’s sexual history. For men, this was incredibly paramount, with as a little over half (53%) stating that they’d want to know how many people their partner has slept with, while as little as 45% of women were interested in knowing the same.

Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com, Christian Grant, commented:

“We are more liberal, tolerant and sexually adventurous than we’ve ever been, so the numbers game matters. A good sexual connection is the cornerstone of any solid relationship, so someone who is lacking in sexual experience, is a little too conservative between the sheets, or both, is a legitimate cause for concern for some people.

“Men are a little more self-conscious when it comes to competition, too. Their need to know how many people their partner has slept with derives from their competitive streak. They want to be seen as the biggest and best; whether that stems from genuinely wanting to satisfy their partner or to massage their own ego is another matter entirely.

“Women on the other hand, they’re just happy to enjoy the moment, past experiences aside.”
