Could Eating Easter Eggs Improve Your Sex Life?

It seems there could be additional advantages when giving chocolate eggs to your partner this easter, as a study by leading married dating site IllicitEncounters.com has revealed that 78% of women say that eating high quality dark chocolate helps get them in the mood for lovemaking.

This isn’t a new phenomenon, chocolate has long been thought of as an aphrodisiac by the Aztecs. Montezuma II was noted for consuming vast quantities of the cocoa bean to fuel his lustful appetite for sex. A study conducted by urologists from Milan’s San Raffaele hospital revealed that women who have a daily intake of chocolate showed higher levels of desire than women who did not have this habit. It also showed that chocolate can have a positive physiological impact on a woman’s sexuality.

Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com Rosie Freeman-Jones said; “The aphrodisiac qualities of chocolate are thought to come from two chemicals contained in it. The first is tryptophan, which is a key part of serotonin, a brain chemical prevalent in sexual arousal. The second is phenylethylamine, a brain stimulant similar to amphetamine, which is released when people develop romantic feelings. The Italian study also indicated that even women who normally had a lower libido reported an increase in their sex drive after consuming chocolate, which was backed up by the female members we spoke to in our research.”

Whilst 78% of the 3000 women surveyed said that dark chocolate increased their sexual appetite, 48% said they would be put off a lover if he bought her a ‘cheap’ box of milk chocolates. One member, Sally, 47 from London said; “Chocolate does get me in the mood, but it has to be high quality dark chocolate. There is something very arousing about the way chocolate melts in your mouth, it is one of the most sensual experiences in my opinion.”

There are other good reasons to spend the weekend nibbling away on some chocolate, recently it has been claimed that dark chocolate has antioxidant properties, that is can reduce blood pressure and could even help you loose weight.

Some researchers believe that chocolates aphrodisiac properties are too small to have any measurable effect on desire. However even if the effects are are psychological, and not physiological it is still a good excuse to invest in some good quality chocolate for your lover this easter.

Men reveal the sexiest female professions

A new study conducted by the UK’s leading married dating site IllicitEncounters.com has revealed the female professions that men find the most attractive, and those that are more likely to find success when it comes to looking for romance online.

The study asked over 2,700 male members of the UK’s largest married dating website what they thought the sexiest profession was for a partner and why. The top result was revealed to be journalists with 27% of the votes, journalists are seen by men as naturally sharp, well spoken, sophisticated and ambitious. The second profession men found sexy were women who are professional chefs (21%), with men describing them as adventurous creative and with excellent taste .

According to the study, the least attractive profession is a reality TV star; men viewed them as vain, self-absorbed and unintelligent.

IllicitEncounters.com spokesperson Rosie Freeman-Jones commented: “Women who are confident and intelligent are seen by men as sexy, Men on the site are looking for women who can stimulate and engage them on an intellectual level as well as a physical one. It appears that the fake tan and aggressive nature of some reality stars may act as a massive turn off to some men. On the other hand journalists are seen as sophisticated yet approachable and chefs are seen as creative, adventurous and willing to experiment.”

Other professions that made the ‘hot’ list include nurses and teachers who where described as inspiring and caring whilst entrepreneurs where seen to be risk takers, motivated and ambitious.

Michael, 47, from London, who uses IllicitEncounters.com to meet married women commented “When I am looking for a date I am looking for someone who is intelligence, passionate and creative, I want a woman who is motivated and self confident. I tend to avoid women who are obsessed with themselves and how they look, I don’t find the vacuous image of reality stars attractive, I would much rather meet a woman who is smart and creative not just dipped in fake tan.”

It seems men are not just looking for a quick fling and are looking for women they actually can connect with, they are spending more time than ever online messaging with women in the hope of connecting with someone special.

Want to sneak away and have an affair? Tell her you are going fishing

If you suspect your husband is seeing another woman and says he “has gone fishing”, the good news is that he has probably just gone fishing. A new study by leading married dating site IllicitEncounters.com has revealed that angling is the excuse that is least likely to be used by cheating husbands as they slip away from their wives.

Over 4000 members of the extra-marital dating site responded to the poll on excuses given to sneak away from their other halves, and fishing came last with just 0.2% of the overall vote. Other low scoring excuses included, visiting the doctors and spending time with an elderly relative. In fact, more men used the excuse of having been arrested than saying they had spent some time trout tickling.

Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com Mike Taylor said: “It is interesting that fishing was the least popular excuse, as it would serve as quite a good one. It offers privacy, can go late on into the night and often in places with no mobile phone coverage. All of which are handy settings for engaging in a clandestine romance. During the colder months men switch their excuses from playing golf to going to the gym. Ironically our female members recently voted extreme fisherman Robson Green as one of their top TV heartthrobs, so some women clearly have a soft spot for the fishermen types and would not be put of if they found their man using it as a cover story.”

During the winter months “going to the gym” was the most common excuse as it provides a good cover for being out of the home, anonymity and an explanation for being tired and having just showered before their return home. Some men have even taken up evening classes to use as a cover for a secret relationship which is effective until you have to demonstrate your newly learnt skill.
